Little Scraps of Heaven Designs Blog Hop - Day 8 (THE FINAL DAY)

So here it is ... the last day of the hop ... really .... this time it is!  Just think of yesterday's mistake (ME making the point that YESTERDAY was the last day of the hop when it actually WASN'T as your gain!!!).  I sure hope that you all have enjoyed this hop as much as I did!  Thank you to the team at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs for allowing me to be a part of this.  It truly has been a great experience and I hope to continue to be involved in the future.

Now ... on to the last day of the hop ... REALLY ...

Welcome BACK to the very first Little Scraps of Heaven blog hop. If you have made it here from Inga's Blog you are on the right track. If not, please go to the beginning and start at Kristy's blog (Have no fear .. you will make it back here in due time!).

Thank you to all who have joined me this week. I truly appreciate your comments and hope that you will keep coming back for more even after the hop has completed.  I promise that you will NOT be disappointed!

We're so excited to being doing this hop and have an amazing line up with some very talented ladies. There will be lots of fun projects some great blog candy, and an AMAZING grand prize for this hop. This hop runs from Feb 23 - Mar 2, so you have plenty of time to make it all the way through the hop. Be sure to check back everyday to see new projects created using LSHD patterns, and some of us on the hop JUST might have some extra blog candy to share. : )

The grand prize is being sponsored by Tricia from Little Scraps of Heaven and she will be the last blog on the hop.

In order to be eligible for the grand prize you must:
*(1)* leave a comment on every blog in the hop (list provided below), as well as

whew!  I'm tired!  :)

Now on to my Day 8 project ... and YES ... I did scramble to pull this one together.  I totally admit it.  I messed up, and I'm upset about it.  I am a totally organized person!  I promise I am.  I probably drive some people crazy!  I knew that the hop ended on March 2, but for some reason could not grasp the 8 day thing ... duh!   But ... the good news is that I am here ... and I do in fact have a project to share.  This project should show you that you too can pull something ... anything .. together in a few hours ... and it can even look great too!

Ok, so the goal of this project was to make a one page border that would span the top of the page.   However I knew all along I was going to do a kite, so when I laid it out having the kite to the left of the bear seemed awkward, so I did something different ... I made a page border that would look great on the far left or far right of a double page layout.... don't ya think?

I was also thinking another awesome idea for this would be to turn in into a doorknob hanger.   I like that.  If I had a girl, that's where it would go.  Too many pinks here for my boys!

I've used American Crafts Cardstock and Printed Cardstock on this project.
The Butterflies are something I picked up from my local Joann's and they are by Reflections.
I've used bakers twine for the Kite string.
The font I used here is "LD Red Hatters Hand" .. I'm really loving this one,
My signo white pen has been used for highlights, and I used my Pebbles, Inc. chalks to add dimension.
And last but not least, the bear paper piecing is from Little Scraps of Heaven and can be found HERE

Here is a little reminder of the prize that you will qualify for by just leaving one comment on my blog during the hop (not necessary to comment every day, but PLEASE feel free to do so) and becoming a follower:

My blog candy for the entire hop is a few of my can't live without items:

(1) $10.00 gift certificate to Little Scraps of Heaven Designs
(2) Fiskars Scissors
(3) Fiskars Retractable Fingertip Detail Knife

I will randomly draw a winner at the end of the hop. Please check back for the winner!

Now, hopefully you've completed all the hopping requirements to win the great prizes, and head on over to SHANNON'S BLOG for more.

Thanks for hopping along with the first Little Scraps of Heaven Designs Blog Hop. Enjoy and please come again!
