The wheels on the bus

Good friday evening to all you bloggers and blog readers out there.
I hope you are kick starting your evening.

All is right with the world with me.  The hubby is home from a long traveling trip and we've been blessed with some amazing weather this weekend!  I can't wait to spend the days soaking up what seems to be the last of summer, even though it IS officially Fall.

This week I've decided to make a Back to School layout.  I've used the 'wheels on the bus' theme thinking it would be perfect for some first day Kindergartners.

I really did enjoy working on this project.  It came together pretty fast for me.  Sometimes they do, and some times they don't  :)

I've used patterns from Little Scraps of Heaven designs for this project that you can find HERE.

This layout is available for purchase now RIGHT HERE.

Have a FANTASTIC weekend everyone!

Scrapbook room organization

I'm in the mist of re-organizing my scrapping space.  I always feel like I can be more efficient, but finding the time to dedicate to tearing my room apart just to rebuild it is hard.   I've had a little time this week with my parents in town :)  and have decided to put that time to good use.

So .. I started with an Ikea trip and bought a few of these

EXPEDIT Bookcase, black-brown Width: 31 1/8 " Depth: 15 3/8 " Height: 58 5/8 " Max load/shelf: 29 lb Width: 79 cm Depth: 39 cm Height: 149 cm Max load/shelf: 13 kg
FINTORP Cutlery caddy, white, black Diameter: 5 1/8 " Height: 5 1/8 " Diameter: 13 cm Height: 13 cm

FINTORP Rail, black Length: 31 " Diameter: ¾ " Length: 79 cm Diameter: 1.6 cm

But of course I got sidetracked.   You know these

I just had them all thrown in a box.  I hated sifting through them, yet they are something I use EVERY time I craft.  I searched high an low on the information super highway (as my hubby refers to it) to find a good storage solution and could not find it.    Well, I was browsing through Ben Franklin (my local craft store) the other day just wasting time.  I did not need anything, but I was looking for 'something'.  That's when it hit me.   I stumbled upon some small magnets similar to these

ProMAG 3/4" Round Magnet 50-Pack

Take one of these ... add a dot of hot glue to the back

Add that to a dry erase magnet board that I already had .. and here is what you get

I LOVE it!  I can see it all.  Well, I can't see it all quite yet as I have to get some more magnets :)  But you get the picture!

Oh, and another project that is ongoing is ribbon storage.  My friend Nancie shared her idea with me, and I love it.  Again, I can see it all, but it still looks neat and clean.

Halloween anyone?

I have family in town this week so I have only had some time for some quick projects, however I've had fun with them.

I'm starting to get in the Halloween spirit.  Woke up today to a cooler temperature, which makes me think of Fall colors even more ... perhaps I'll even pull out my Fall decor :)

Here are two cute borders that I made that will fit one 12x12 page.  I really liked how each of these turned out and think they would be an easy addition to any Halloween page.

I've used the following files from Little Scraps of Heaven designs.

(1) Spooking Boots
(2) Brewing up Trouble
(3) The Boo Crew
(4) Pumpkin patch

I hope you enjoyed my designs for the day and I hope you'll stop by again soon!  Take care!

Great LO! love the paper and that little boy is soo cute!

Thank you all who joined me in the hop.  It was a TON of fun and there sure was a lot of fabulous inspiration from all the participants!  I hope you'll keep an eye on my blog, I've got two more upcoming blog hops and you never know what fun you might miss out on.

I'd also like to share with you a small project I pulled together today for the Little Scraps of Heaven Designs Design team.

I just love how this card came together.  Tricia's animals are so cute, I just love cutting and piecing them together .. I think the Giraffe is my favorite!

For this project, I used two files:
1. Jungle Safari
2. Jungle and Zoo pals
(click on the pics to be taken directly to the LSHD site)
It's a Jungle Out There CollectionJungle and Zoo Pals Pattern Collection

I also used some patterned paper from the DCWV Safari Chic stack and some Jute to add some texture.
I hope you've enjoyed stopping by, and hope that you will pop in again.

Take care,

Celebrate!

I'm here today to share with you all a new layout that I've created.

One day, Tricia over at Little Scraps of Heaven Created this pattern set:

Well, you know how you get that feeling that you HAVE to have something right away.  I mean the kinda feeling that you want to do NOTHING else but get your hands on this item and work with it right away.  Well, that is how I felt about this pattern set.  I saw it and my jaw dropped to the ground because it is just so darned cute.  I mean, what could be cuter than a bunch of monkeys getting ready to celebrate someones big day ??????

So I did it, I BOUGHT IT!  I BOUGHT IT RIGHT AWAY.  And ... there it sat .. in a file ... on my mac.
This poor file has been sitting and waiting patiently for me to grab it, cut it, chalk it, and glue it down to make something fabulous.

Well, I finally got to it.  I swear the ideas are flowing lately and I keep jumping from one thing to the next.  Last night I decided to hunker down and check off one of my ideas off my 'list' instead of the idea that more recently popped into my head.  PS - I've gotta get better about writing these 'ideas' down or sketching them.

Here is the layout that I created using this file.
I also used one of the more recent paper stack releases from Die Cuts with a View called "All About Boys 2".   This layout was not necessarily made for a boy, but I just love (love, love, love) the color palate in this stack .. and hey, I have two boys :)

This layout is available for sale HERE if you have any interest.
