Rainy Days

Welcome to March ... the month of rain, rain, and more rain ..... well, at least here in Seattle.  


Who am I kidding?  EVERY month is like that here :)  That's ok ... you get used to it ...kinda .. 


Today I'd like to share a layout with you that might just brighten up those rainy days .. or at least give you some motivation to head outside and snap some pictures of all the kids stomping in those puddles.  I'd suggest rewarding yourself afterward with a latte, hot cocoa, or cup of tea ... whatever sounds good at the moment!


Here's to staying dry the next month or two while we countdown to those warmer, milder temperatures!!

Easter Celebration

It's a new week ... a new challenge

So it's a new week .. and what does that mean?  A new challenge is up at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

But HERE is the layout that I created.  I loved the challenge of turning this one page sketch into a two page layout!

I really loved the way that this came out.

The picture did not turn out that great ... sorry :(  It's very rainy and dark here these days.  The good news is that my husband is working on a picture taking solution for us (he has his own hobby that requires a camera too) and hopefully we'll have it all figured out in a week or so.

A bright and cheerful layout

I don't know what the weather is like near you .. but here it's back to dark, chilly and rainy.
To fight back ... well, at least mentally ... I picked up a stack of DCWV paper called "Creamy".   It honestly is the brightest paper I've ever seen.   AND ... it's super smooth ... thus the name "Creamy".  It's really a great stack for Springtime layouts ... even summer!


When Tricia, over at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs, came out with the Spring Fairies pattern collection this paper popped right into my head.  It was perfect!  Bright, cheerful and really unique!


So with these two combinations (the neat paper and the awesome pattern), I came up with this:

Superbowl Party!

Somehow I missed posting about this really cute layout last week!
I had so much fun making this ... much more fun crafting (at least to me) rather than actually watching the game!  he he
