Star Wars

I have to admit I really had fun working on this next layout.
Maybe more so because my 5 year old loved it too. I had to make an extra paper piecing set of each guy so he could play with them! :) I love it when my boys get involved in what I do!

Sketch Challenge at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs

This week we have a new sketch challenge over at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.
I have to admit that I LOVED this sketch .... but when I sat down to finally work on it I had a hard time figuring out WHAT to put as the picture/theme.

Well, since Saturday was St. Patrick's day I decided to take a picture of two of the three Irish men in my household and capture this day. The picture is not the best .. sorry about that. My husband had our good camera this weekend as he was out of town. I edited my cell phone picture in instagram (an iphone app) and gave it kind of a vintage look. I thought kraft paper went well with it.

I used the "My Lucky Charm" pattern set to create my layout.

Today I'd like to share with you a layout I did in celebration of this holiday.

This is one of my all time favorite layouts that I've completed. Something about the orange and green together I think. The rainbow is made out of glitter paper and really sparkles, although the picture dod not show it that much.

Easter Egg-Citement

Anyone gearing up for Easter yet? Not me! :) I tend to take things one day at a time and then BAM! it hits me at the last minute and I'm running around like a crazy woman. You think I would learn, but NOPE ... I do it EVERY time. I guess it's my nature.

I tried some new files this week .. .and boy oh boy, they sure are adorable! They are by Scrappin' Bug Designs and are just some really cute Easter files that I put together.
