Cute Calendar with Watermelon Taffy!

Hi everyone!

I'm here today to share with you my first posting for Trendy Twine!

This month the team is featuring a new color .. Watermelon Taffy!
It's bright, it's colorful .. what's not to love about a color like this.  It just screams "HAPPY".

For my project this month I've decided to make a fun pocket calendar.
As I was pulling this together the ideas of the things that could be stored in this calendar were endless.
I could organize my sales receipts, record my etsy or ebay sales, or perhaps something for the kiddos .... like I said ... Ideas ... endless...

Here is a dimensional view giving you an idea on how large the pocket is.

I've used the following products to create this calendar:
1. Trendy Twine in Watermelon Taffy
3. Patterned paper from DCWV- Baby Girl Stack and Jillibean soup - Spotted Owl
4. Washi tape
5. Epiphany Crafts Button maker
6. Misc. Gems
7. Martha Stewart Poppy border punch

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I do hope that you'll stop by Trendy Twine and jong us in this months challenge featuring Watermelon Taffy.  Just stop by the blog HERE to find out all the details.

Old MacDonald Had a Farm

E-I-E-I-O

I really had a great time making this Old MacDonald Had a Farm two page layout.

For this piece, I've used mostly patterns from Treasure Box Designs, however, if you look close, I did sneak in some Little Scraps of Heaven Designs as well,  The patterned paper if from JilliBean Soup and is in the Chicken Noodle Soup collection.

If you are interested in this layout it is available HERE on ebay until Thursday evening.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Monday Design team project

I feel like life has gotten hectic .... well, frantic actually.   I don't know what happened but sometime in the last two weeks I feel like I have not been able to keep up with anything!  That includes the normal laundry, cooking, cleaning as well as crafting, time with the kids, phone calls home and all of that.   I've been in a personal slump lately.  Having some child behavioral problems, missing home, and just feeling overwhelmed.  Well, this week I am going to change all of it!

I am going to be a positive person!  I will be happy and get back into my crafting on a regular basis!

When I bought this line of paper that I used in my project today it really made me smile.  I love strawberries.  And I LOVE working with Kraft paper.  What better combination that a printed line of paper that is on Kraft paper!  I've never seen that before, but I LOVE it.   The paper line is from Jillbean-soup and you can head over to their site HERE to check out all they have to offer.

For today's project I've created an Easel card.  I just love this design of these cards (as you probably can tell from all my projects that use them).  This card makes me smile!  I did not put in a sentiment yet, as nothing particular jumped out at me.  But I can see sending this card as a thank you card, a cheer up card, or simply a thinking of you card.

I hope that you enjoy it.  Be sure to head on over to the Little Scraps of Heaven Design team blog to see my other teammates projects for today!

I used the Bear holding Balloons single file pattern from LSHD for this project.  I just love this bear, it is SO versatile!
